Privacy Policy

Learn2Write works with children's writing, which means we hold personal data and take that seriously. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

Learn2Write is an online English tuition and marking service operating in the United Kingdom. For data protection purposes we act as the data controller for information you provide through this website and our marking service.

You can reach us at Contact@learn2write.co.uk or on 020 3488 5343 with any question about this policy.

Information we collect

Account and contact details: the parent or guardian's name, email address and telephone number, plus the pupil's first name and school year.

Submitted work: the writing, comprehension responses and mock papers uploaded for marking, along with the feedback our tutors produce.

Payment information: processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card details on our systems.

Website usage: basic analytics such as pages visited and device type, used to keep the site working well.

How we use it

To allocate assignments, mark submitted work and return feedback.

To keep a progress record so tutors can pitch the next task correctly and parents can see improvement over time.

To take payment, issue receipts and manage subscriptions.

To send service messages about assignments and, where you have opted in, occasional updates about resources and courses. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time.

Children's data

Accounts are held by a parent, guardian or education provider, not by the child. Pupil work is visible only to the tutors marking it and to the account holder.

We do not use children's writing for advertising, and we do not sell personal data to anyone.

Sharing and storage

We share data only with the service providers needed to operate: hosting, email delivery and payment processing. Each is bound to protect the data and to use it only on our instructions.

Work and feedback are retained while the account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards so families can return to past reports. You may ask us to delete them sooner.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the data we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to certain processing. Write to Contact@learn2write.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies to keep the site functioning and to understand which pages are useful. You can block cookies in your browser; core parts of the site will still work.
